What We Publish
Labi Books considers non-fiction history proposals that:
- Are grounded in original research or rigorous synthesis
- Engage critically with existing historiography
- Address political, social, cultural, or economic questions
- Are written for an informed, engaged readership
We are particularly interested in work that reframes established interpretations or introduces neglected subjects into serious historical discussion.
What We Do Not Publish
- Vanity or pay-to-publish projects
- Unreferenced polemic
- Memoir without substantial historical analysis
- Genre fiction (except via future imprint by invitation)
Submission Requirements
Please provide:
- A 1–2 page proposal
- Chapter outline
- Sample chapter
- Short author biography
We aim to respond within 8–12 weeks.
